The week ended with his 8th grade promotion ceremony and fun night/dance. The first two pics were a couple I took before the ceremony and the last is a lightroom play of I pic I took before he went to the dance. He wanted it for his facebook page.

Week 19 of 52 - May 2010
This past week was filled with events for my youngest son, so this week's post is all about Roy! We started off with his final orchestra / band performance of his middle school days as he is completing the 8th grade and moving on to high school next year. The first capture is of him receiving the outstanding orchestra award! The next is of him leading the "bone" section of the band. He was also awarded the outstanding band student award that night! :-) He sure got his mom's genes!

Week 18 of 52 - May 2010
Finally getting last week's action up. For the first full week in May I have to post probably the last tulip shot of the season as they are about done for. And a couple of shots from my son's orchestra concert. I will most likely have more shots of him in the next few weeks as he will be finishing his middle school concerts and have 8th grade graduation to celebrate. I tried a black and white conversion on one of his concert shots.

Week 17 of 52 - April /May 2010
This week's post are some captures of my youngest son and some of his 8th grade friends enjoying a bright sunny afternoon in our backyard. They have converted our trampoline into a mini basketball court! All I can say is thank goodness for the safety net on this thing. And, if there was any warranty left on the tramp, these pictures most likely have voided it! :-)

Week 15 of 52 - April 2010
This week's post is a couple of captures of an orchestra honors concert my youngest auditioned for and was selected to. Seating for the concert was pretty limited so I didn't get any outstanding shots of him performing. The first shot is his section (he is back left in the shot) and the second shot is of the entire orchestra.
Oh and something I learned from the first picture, if you watch orchestra and cross your legs; it is definately right leg over left leg.

Week 14 of 52 - April 2010
Getting caught back up on the posting today. This post is a series of pictures of a couple of wind generators situated behind an old limestone fencepost. When my part of western Kansas was first settled limestone which lies in shallow beds in this area was a primary building material and was also used for fenceposts as trees are few and far apart out here. The posts still line many of the fields and pastures in this area. All three shots were taken with a Canon 70-200 at 70mm, I just varied the aperature. The first is at f2.8(my favorite) the next at f8 and the last at f14.

Week 13 of 52 - March / April 2010
My posts for this week are from Easter Sunday morning. Our great nephew stopped by to see us and the first capture was taken in our house. He spent the morning with us while mom and dad went to church as we had already attended mass. I took him to a neighborhood park for a couple of hours and the last two shots were taken there.
All the captures were taken with a Canon 50mm L prime on a Canon 5D. He is such a cute little guy!
